COVID-19 UPDATE, NOVEMBER 2020

Clinic is open. We are Covid-secure, and follow the Public Health England and our Governing Body guidelines to keep everyone in the clinic safe.

Please do not come to the clinic if you or someone with whom you have had close contact is exhibiting symptoms of or has tested positive for Covid-19.

We offer virtual appointments where face to face is inappropriate.

We have to advise that clinic appointments will increase your risk of exposure to Covid-19 as you are leaving your home. We will take all precautionary measures in accordance with Public Health England’s guidelines to keep you and our staff safe.

There will only be one therapist and one patient in the clinic at any one time. There will be time between appointments to allow for cleaning of the clinic. You will be expected to wash your hands on arrival and departure. PPE will be required for patient and therapist.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on what help you need from Linda. She will always explain her plan of action to you and you will have the opportunity to adjust that to suit you best.

Will my private health insurance pay for it?

Probably. You should contact them first and check that they will pay for your treatment. Usually they ask you to get a referral from your GP then they will authorise you to have a fixed number of physiotherapy sessions.

What do I need to bring on my first visit?

If you have a referral letter or any other medical records relating to your injury or condition then bring them along.

Should I wear sports clothes for my appointment?

You don’t need to unless you are concerned that the footwear you use while exercising is causing a problem.

Will I need to take my clothes off?

Not necessarily! It depends on the treatment you need. If you’re shy, let Linda know and she’ll make sure you can change into a robe in private.

What if I’m late for my appointment?

Let Linda know as soon as possible. If you’re going to be more than 10 minutes late and she has another patient after you then she may ask you to rearrange the appointment for another day. A cancellation fee of 100% of the session fee will be taken at Linda’s discretion.

Do you do home visits?

At present (Spring-Summer 2017) Linda is unable to do home visits as the clinic is very busy.
